Antarctica Trip, an overview

In January of 2009,  my husband and I were fortunate enough to join a National Geographic Expedition to Antarctica on their 100 passenger ship the Endeavor.  Four days were spent crossing the Drake Passage (2 days to and 2 days from Antarctica) from  Ushuaia, Argentina.  The rest of the time was spent in Antarctica with two shore landings daily along with zodiac and kayak cruising.  The expedition was flawless and presented a unique experience to all passengers.  With their “open bridge” policy, the captain and his staff were usually surrounded by interested passengers asking questions, looking at charts and navigation equipment .  I will be adding more to this personal page as time permits.
